ETMC-Oak Ridge

ETMC is a prime contractor under the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Operations (ORO). ETMC's various contracts have called for support to many of the important functions of ORO.

These contracts include many infrastructure services; surveillance management; operations and maintenance of various government-owned facilities, such as the former federally owned municipal water treatment plant, light and heavy equipment shops, vehicle and equipment fleets consisting of over 550 pieces of equipment and vehicles; the installation and operation of two alternative fuel (ethanol E-85) dispensing systems, maintenance of over 32 miles of paved roads; and maintenance of 50 miles of forestry and patrol roads and several parking lots. Contracts completed at the Oak Ridge Federal Building include: complete reroofing of the building, replacement of the HVAC system, interior renovation of administrative and office spaces, and expansion of the communications tower capability and support structure.

ETMC constructed a 3,000-linear foot 24-inch-diameter potable water supply pipeline, a 1-mile access road, and a 25,000-square foot temperature controlled warehouse for the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) to support a $1.3 billion national state-of-the-art particle matter accelerator program.

Other contracts in support of the federal research and operations programs for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory include construction of a two-story boiler and equipment building, design and construction of an emergency generator and cooling tower, and construction of a cold storage process building.
